Safety Information


There have been severe, life-threatening skin reactions associated with the use of Rescriptor.  See emergency medical attention if you develop a rash with or without fever, blistering sores or lesions in the mouth, irritated eyes, swelling or muscle or joint aches.

Rescriptor Side Effects


Stop taking Rescriptor and contact your doctor if you start to experience any of the following symptoms:


  • An allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, throat closing, swelling of the face, tongue or lips)
  • Unusual fatigue
  • Pale Skin
  • Sore throat
  • Fever or Chills
  • Nausea, vomiting, Diarrhea, abdominal pain
  • Yellow skin or eyes, Itching, Clay-colored stools, dark urine

Keep taking Rescriptor and talk to your doctor if you experience:

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Itching
  • Changes of body fat (redistribution of fat from legs, arms and fact to back neck and breast.)

Rescriptor Contraindications


Rescriptor should not be taken with the following drugs or serious or life-threatening side effects may occur:

  • Astemizole (Hismanal)
  • Terfenadine (Seldane)
  • Midazolam (Versed)
  • Triazolam (Halcion)
  • Ergotamine (Ergostat, Ergomar)
  • Dihydroergotamine
  • Nifedipine (Procardia, Adalat)
  • Sildenafil (Viagra)
  • Quinidine (Cardioquin, Quinaglute, Quinidex)

Do not take any antacids within one hour of taking Rescriptor as it may change its effectiveness.
