Safety InformationAs with many HIV drugs, Zerit can cause a buildup of lactic acid in the body. This can potentially be fatal if not treated properly. The symptoms are as follows: unusual muscle pain, weakness, trouble breathing, uneven or fast heartbeat, nausea and vomiting, numbness in arms or legs. Zerit has also been known to cause liver problems. Contact your doctor if you have any of these symptoms: nausea, stomach pain, low fever, no appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice. There have been reports of pancreatitis with the use of Zerit. Inform your doctor right away if you have the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Zerit Side EffectsContact your doctor if you experience the following side effects: loss of feeling, numbness, or pain in a part of the body. This may be a sign of peripheral neuropathy, the most common side effect from using Zerit. Some other less serious side effects may occur. Continue to take Zerit and contact your doctor if you experience any of the following symptoms:
