New Antiviral Composition Announced  E-mail

Cure HIV Inc. and Global Humanceuticals Inc. have announced today that they have applied for an international patent on their antiviral composition.

Their founder, Dr Roger Kenneth Hershline M.D. PhD issued a United States Patent on November 23, 2004 for a new low-cost, highly effective, nontoxic medication for the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS.  The international patent gives him the ability to proceed with clinical studies.  This is the next step in getting this topical microbicide to market.

The National Institutes of Health have been conducting pre-clinical studies of this antiviral composition.  Dr. Hershline has received encouragement from the NIH to proceed with clinical studies.

Studies have shown that approximately 7,000 women become infected with HIV every day.  It is mostly women of childbearing age who would benefit from the creation of an effective and affordable microbicide.  This would enable them to protect themselves against becoming infected with HIV from sexual intercourse.
